Personalisation
Religion and Traditions
Whether the funeral is going to be a cremation or burial, you can choose if you would like religion in the service or not. We work with a close group of professional officiants both religious, non-religious and somewhat in between. We cater for all faiths and religions at F.P Gaunt and Sons Ltd. We understand the many customs and practices of various religions and ethnic heritages and we will work with you to fulfil your requirements.
Other Services
Most of the local crematorium's have a media system available to play the music you would like. You can also have personal photo's or video’s uploaded and set to a piece of music to create a visual tribute. The funeral service can even be recorded and downloaded onto a USB stick or broadcasted live anywhere in the world via a secure link.
We can also arrange for live performances should you wish, ranging from a piper, a soloist, a choir or a band.
Capturing the Funeral
The day of the funeral can often be overwhelming. We can help ensure that you can remember all who attended the funeral by listing the name of mourners at the service location. We can also provide a condolence or remembrance book where mourners, friends and family can leave memories and messages for you to reflect on at a later date.
Announcing the Funeral
As we move into a digital era, a lot of people use a social media platform to announce the date and time of the funeral. We have a digital platform to send funeral announcements to family and friends or if you'd prefer, we can help write and send an obituary to a local newspaper to inform people of the funeral details.
Donations
We can help you look after any donations received by bringing a secure donation box on the day of the funeral where friends and family can leave any contributions or cards. After the funeral, any monies raised will be counted and we will provide you with a list of donors. Approximately two weeks after the funeral we will contact you to ascertain if there are any further contributions to be made. We will then forward the donations onto the charity, or you may collect them and deliver them yourself.
